Visiting Scholars and Artists at CIRMMT
CIRMMT hosts visiting researchers from around the world. Scholars and artists who are interested in traveling to Montreal to work on a project with one or more CIRMMT members are asked to contact the relevant member(s) directly. Requests for visiting researcher office space can be submitted by full, associate and affiliate members on behalf of their guest throughout the year. Request letters must outline the nature of the collaborative research project, start and end dates of the visit, and must be accompanied by the visiting scholar or artist’s CV.
CIRMMT’s central facilities include an office space with two workstations designated for visiting scholars and artists. Visitors have full access to a computer and workstation in this shared office space for the duration of their stay. They may also request the short or long-term use of any of our central laboratories for research throughout their visit.
Requests for office space for visiting reseachers will be reviewed by the Centre’s Executive Committee on a monthly basis. Members are asked to submit requests and accompanying documentation by the 1st of the month for review by the committee. Requests for short or long-term use of the central laboratories must be made through the lab booking system.
CIRMMT is unable to provide travel funding, salary or lodging for visiting scholars.
